Tayler Raven Hanxi Bunge is a writer, teacher, and student. She is a transracial adoptee who was born in China and raised in Arvada, Colorado. Published or forthcoming work can be found in McSweeney’s, Southeast Review, Porter House Review, Isele Magazine, Barrelhouse, Mochi Mag, Ghost City, and elsewhere. Her short story “Glowworm” was selected for publication in the Best of Isele Anthology. She won the Southeast Review’s Short Story Contest - Judged by Venita Blackburn (2025), was longlisted for the Bridport Short Story Prize, and has received the Francis J. Malecek, S.J. Award for excellence in philosophy. Her writing has received support from the Tin House Summer Workshop, and she is an Assistant Fiction Editor at The Offing. She is a current MFA Candidate in Fiction at the University of Virginia. She is working on a novel about angry women, radicalization, and the American Southwest.
